This list of spring cleaning tips is also applicable to those who just want to spruce things up and ensure their homes are ready for spring and summer months.
- Spruce up your yard to create better curb appeal. Springtime provides us with an assortment of flowers and plants to create a beautiful palette of color! It’s a great time to also add fresh mulch.
- Be sure to have your HVAC inspected. You certainly don’t want to be without air conditioning during the warm summer months! While you are at it, don’t forget to change your air filters.
- Clean your windows! Sparkling clean windows allow you to see nature’s beauty from inside and out.
- Clean your gutters and visually inspect your roof. As they say, April showers bring May flowers, but you certainly don’t want your gutters clogged with leaves and debris.
- Go through your closets and get rid of or donate clothes or other items you simply have no use for.
- Pressure wash your home for a fresh, clean look! Don’t forget the patio, deck, driveway, and sidewalks.
- Have your interior carpets and rugs cleaned.
- Do a kitchen appliance ‘deep’ clean. Be sure to include the stovetop, oven, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator.
- Get rid of the ‘dust bunnies’ living in your home. Also, be sure to include ceiling fans and blinds as dust bunnies LOVE these home features!
- Replace and test batteries in all your smoke alarms.
